Stress – Can we just start by saying how horrible it is to experience anxiety and panic over upcoming deadlines, family commitments and still being able to balance your personal goals? Well, it is time to take control in 2018. Sometimes all you need is an hour to yourself, rub-a-dubbing in your tub accompanied by some aromatics, soft lighting and a nibble.


Detoxing your body and clearing your mind when life is so demanding can often take a back seat, but it shouldn’t be that way. Downtime is an important element to your physical and mental health and well-being. Essential oils are a sure way to unwind and elicit that feeling of relaxation during the storm which is stress. Lavender oil does not only have a wonderful scent, but also acts as a great base for your aromatherapy; so feel free to add other essential oils into the mix as well.

Oil Add-ons

Lavender has many beneficial properties, a few being that it: relieves pain, aches, anxiety and stress, disinfects the skin, improves blood circulation and induces sleep. It even acts as a bug repellent! Interestingly, lavender in Latin is “lavare” which means “to wash” as it was a popular choice to bathe in, due to its aroma.

So lock yourself away for a while and enjoy a detoxed, silky-smooth feeling with our Warm Detox and Finish-off Moisturiser.

Lavender Oil

Warm Detox;

  • Half a cup Epsom salts
  • Half a cup Baking Soda
  • Drops of Lavender Oil (as many as you feel you like)

Draw yourself a comfortably warm bath and add these ingredients into the water while it runs to mix them in properly. The recommended time to allow you to enjoy this experience is 20 minutes.

Finish-Off Moisturiser;

  • 70% Coconut Oil
  • 30% Shea Butter
  • Drops of Lavender Oil (as many as you feel you like)

Once you feel the drowsiness set in, dry yourself off and massage this pre-made mixture into your skin.
